Try to imagine the potential scale of time-series data flowing to the cloud via IoT for machine learning.  Got it?  Now, if you can imagine possible solutions to this problem and are excited about doing just that, then read on – we may have the right opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a Scrum team to create, operate and evolve scalable applications and REST APIs that can interface with multiple platforms, including IoT and web
  • Manage the health of multiple distributed clusters and the applications that run on them
  • Help design and implement cloud monitoring framework
  • Provide Level II support for operational issues
  • Proactively meet standards for Infosec and compliance

Requirements:

  • Kubernetes and strong VM/container wrangling
  • Strong cloud chops, AWS and/or GCP
  • IAC tools (e.g. CloudFormation)
  • Python & shell scripting
  • Strong *nix sysadmin, multiple distros
  • CI/CD including Jenkins and/or Cloud CI services
  • BSCS or related

Pluses:

  • InfluxDB or other TSDBs
  • RDB skills, admin and tuning
  • Message broker technologies (Pub Nub, PubSub, Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ …)
  • Ruby/RoR
  • Machine Learning
  • Embedded/IoT
  • Android, Android Things
