IT Solutions Manager

Our client is working to harness nature to sustainably feed the planet.  We have discovered a transformational opportunity to improve global crop yield and reduce the use of agricultural chemicals and fertilizers by utilizing the core microbiome inside plants to confer material yield and crop protection benefits across a variety of crops, geographies and stresses.  The challenge and opportunity for our client is to gain critical first mover advantages by scaling quickly and effectively (~$1B 2020 revenue.)

The role of IT Solutions Manager will report to our Director of IT Solutions. The Solutions Manager will own the IT systems for a specific business area, leading implementation projects and managing maintenance services to deliver value and high satisfaction to our business partners.

 Outcomes:

  • Becomes our in-house expert on the key enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and Contract Management.
  • Works with business partners to scope and prioritize enterprise system requirements, with a particular focus on ERP, CRM, and Contract Management.
  • Successfully delivers of key system implementation projects, characterized by high user satisfaction and validated project objectives
  • Performs solution selection for initiatives requiring new systems. Executes market analysis by assessing system functionality, total cost of ownership, and vendor criteria.
  • Establishes lifecycle management plans for business systems that describes how to keep systems current and high performing as well as refresh or retirement approaches for expiring systems.
  • Manages the 3rd level support of live business systems such that issues are resolved according to agreed SLAs and that small enhancements are delivered per business specifications.
  • Builds relationships with business partners to become a trusted advisor for addressing technology needs in their areas.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in MIS, with 3-5 years of work experience relevant to the role
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems, preferably Oracle and/or Salesforce.com
  • Working knowledge of cloud hosting including cloud security
  • Experience managing third parties through project delivery and application support services
  • Business knowledge in Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, and/or Finance
