We are seeking a Principal DevSecOps Engineer who has the passion, experience, and vision to lead us in the next phase of innovation and business scaling in the energy analytics space.
The Principal DevSecOps Engineer will be a critical member of our Engineering Team. In our agile software development environment, you will be responsible for Development Security and Operations (DevSecOps) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation. This role will play a crucial part in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing modern cloud services development languages, frameworks, and methodologies. This position is a vital member of the Engineering Enablement team, which is comprised of highly skilled individuals tasked with delivering business-critical software to our clients and re-imagining the next generation of the cloud platform. This team is focused on automating the delivery of environments in the public cloud, currently in AWS. This position will utilize multiple cloud services and make them operational for us.
Develop and maintain a highly reliable Development Security and Operations (DevSecOps), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation pipeline
System deployment using automation frameworks such as Cloud Formation and Chef Container development and orchestration using ECS and Docker technologies
Automated Unit, Integration and System testing leveraging common frameworks (design and implementation)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Required Skills, Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant job experience
5+ years of DevSecOps engineering experience, including leadership in implementing and accelerating DevSecOps adoption
Expert-level of CI/CD pipeline
Proficiency with automation tools/languages such as Chef, Python, Java
Agile methodologies (including agile leadership and planning)
Administration of cloud infrastructures (AWS), including CloudFormation, ECS, Elasticsearch and ELK Stack
Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration
Proven analytical skills to troubleshoot complex tools and system operation performance issues
Proficiency with Jenkins, Docker, and Git
Experience with Information Security and Compliance standards, such as NIST, SOC2
Understanding of SOA Software development concept
Experience in technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
Ability to stay abreast of emerging system development trends
Ability to work independently, without much supervision, and ensure project goals are met
Ability to prepare and present status, plans, and risks to management
Ability to communicate technical concepts both up and down the management chain

The VP prefers candidates from EST, CST or MTN. Open to all candidates in the US including PST. As long as candidates know that if there is a meeting at 9 AM EST, they need to be present. Tech Stack is Java, moving to Python, Flask. Candidates should have Java and Python ideally.
